Sorana Baciu is a Senior Executive with 18 years’ private and public sector experience in the design, delivery and management of complex transformation programs. Having extensive knowledge of general management, corporate (including sustainability) strategy and corporate finance, Sorana is also a committed civic activist, member of Aspen Institute Romania and European Professional Women Network Romania.
Sorana Baciu graduated the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania with an M.A. in International Economic Relations and McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a M.A in Economic Policy Management. She then followed a long track career in banking, working for ING (both in Romania and London) in investment and commercial banking. After having set up the Porsche Bank Romania, where her last position was as Vice-President and CFO, Sorana Baciu joined OMV Petrom S.A. in December 2007 as Strategy & Investor Relations Director.
Bogdan Ion is Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Romania and Moldova since July 2011. He has a comprehensive business perspective, shaped during the past 16 years, as auditor and consultant within renowned companies in the professional services industry.Bogdan’s business acumen is rooted in prestigious international education institutions and professional bodies, such as The University of Orleans and the Kellogg School of Management. Moreover, he is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK, a member of the Romanian Chamber of Auditors and the Body of Chartered Certified Accountants, as well as a representative for Romania in The European Forum for Audit Quality. Bogdan is member of the Ernst & Young working group which monitors Europe Middle East India and Asia region in view of designing solutions for companies and institutions challenged by the Eurozone crisis. Bogdan strongly advocates for entrepreneurship support on the local market, by sharing relevant business knowledge and getting involved in professional projects and think-tanks, which facilitate strategic assistance to entrepreneurs across the country. He is therefore part of the Romanian Business Leaders think tank and an active business contributor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania, where he supports various projects of the organization.
